Rugby is the perfect life backpack game , carrying powerful physical and mental values throughout the ages and places on Earth.
Our Coaching Philosophy thus follows the path of those values, but it also goes beyond. Our Goal is to help Youth Development through Rugby by empowering the children .
Obviously, the versatility of the sport and its high level of fitness help players becoming stronger, faster, improving their endurance, body balance, etc. Therefore, all kids feel better as they dramatically increase their body wellness .
But the empowerment comes also through the combination of 2 different but complementary methods: the Athlete-centered approach, and the Game Sense approach.
The Athlete-centered approach encourages players to lead in their own education, development and self-reflection .
The Game Sense approach gets rid of all drills, and incorporates skills practice within fun games.
Rookie Rugby embodies our Rugby Coaching Philosophy, and we are very proud members of the Positive Coaching Alliance!
